PARQUE NACIONAL FRAY JORGE

On our drive back to Santiago, we arrived at our final destination, a national parque of lush green vegetation, surrounded by the desert. Again, it was a long drive over about 40K over rough narrow dirt road.

We reached the ocean, and it was amazing to see the green, almost jungle like setting in the middle of the desert. After a brief hike, we jumped back into the car and started the long drive back to Santiago.
