We arrived in Santiago, Chile on the 8th of July 2006 and started work two days later! Wow, so much to do, and obviously we are very behind on the blog. But, during the next week we will get all of the updates published, including our trip to Washington during our move from Paraguay to Chile. In addition, we are very lucky that not only were we able to bring our nanny (actually her sister) from Paraguay to work for us, Mike and mom are here until the 25th of September. Oh yeah, after much work and expense, Lopez arrived a week after us by cargo. He was not all that happy, due to the long trip. Lola now lives in the campo of Paraguay with Sonia, and is doing great. We have already had several adventures, including a trip to the Vina del Mar today to see and play in the ocean.

The first photo is of Mike and Ethan after our first snow about a week ago. What a difference between here and Paraguay. Our house in located in the foothills of the Andes at an elevation of 3,000 feet. The other two photos are from Maipu Canyon about an hour drive from our house. The mountains range from 15,000 feet high to almost 21,000 feet. Incredible! More soon.
